Matt Lankenau surrendered his life to Jesus at the age of 18 after he was involved in a horrific car accident. In this painful experience, Matt realized God is truly active in our lives and that His plans are incredibly good! God has been using Matt to impact the lives of others ever since, and it is one of Matt’s greatest joys to point others to the saving grace of God.
Matt has served in full-time ministry, first as a missions director and full-time missionary in Berlin, Germany, then moving into pastoral ministry, where he has served in numerous roles within the Church body, and even had the opportunity to plant a church in 2022. Originally from Texas, Matt has a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of North Texas and a Master of Theology from The King’s University.
Pastor Matt and his wife, Bethany, have been married since 2006 and have three wonderful daughters: Lily, Ella, and Kate. Matt & Bethany Lankenau have the honor of leading the Hope Church Simpsonville Campus, and it is their desire to see people grow in an intimate relationship with the Lord as they experience the life-giving presence of God.
