CELEBRATE RECOVERY

Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-based approach to recovery that was a response to twelve-step programs such as Alcoholics Anonymous. It was founded in 1990 by Pastors John Baker and Rick Warren of Saddleback Church, and is aimed at all “hurts, habits, and hang-ups”, including but not limited to drug and alcohol addictions, sex addiction, eating disorders, and people who have been sexually abused. The founders felt that Alcoholics Anonymous was too vague in referring to God as a “higher power,” and wanted a more specifically Christ-based program. Celebrate Recovery utilizes eight Recovery Principles that are based on the Sermon on the Mount.

Do you have a hurt in your life that’s robbing you of peace? Or, a habit that is crippling your life and relationships? You aren’t alone. Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centered recovery ministry held at Hope Church every Friday evening. This ministry celebrates God’s power and comfort in our lives by providing tools to help individuals discover serenity and healing through Jesus Christ.

Life hurts. But God heals. Discover how.

Celebrate Recovery provides separate groups for men and women that are safe and confidential. These groups are designed to equip individuals with the tools to cope with many different life issues—including anger, alcohol or drug dependency, food struggles, grief, controlling behaviors, family members with addiction issues, victims of abuse, those seeking sexual purity, and other issues.

Come join us on Fridays starting at 6:00 pm for a meal. Praise and worship and classes will begin following the meal.

FREEDOM MINISTRIES

Freedom Ministries is a process of fulfilling 2 Corinthians 3:17 “Where the Spirit of the Lord is there is freedom.” It’s our response to what we believe about the whole ministry of Jesus, which is that, Jesus came that we might have life and have it more abundantly.

We define freedom not as the absence of something but the presence of someone. It’s the ability to respond fully to God out of who He created and redeemed you to be. Core lies, soul wounds, demonic oppression and life patterns are all obstacles that can stand in the way of the life Jesus has made available to every believer. Freedom Ministries walks you through the process of getting to the root of core lies that have caused you to be hindered in your life.

This ministry is kingdom-focused and designed to restore your true identity, teach you how to apply lasting change in your life, and tune you into hearing the voice of God for yourself. We are creating disciples, not dependents - turning people to Jesus, not other people.

Foundations 1: Foundations of Freedom

Five classes designed to lay a foundation for your process of freedom. Each class provides a part of a bigger picture that will bring understanding of who you were created and redeemed to be in Christ. The classes are offered three times a year during the Hope Groups season.

Kingdom of God

Levels of Change

Hearing God

Life in the Kingdom

Anatomy of a Stronghold

Foundations 2: Topical Classes

These topical classes are designed to address specific struggles and strongholds that hold us back from walking in who God created us to be. Ministry teams are available in these classes to help participants work through any difficulties or to agree in prayer for release from bondage. This class flows right out of Foundations 1 during the Hope Groups season.

Freedom Conferences: Two - Day Event

The Freedom Conference is an appointed time to encounter God on a deeper level of intimacy through worship, personal applications, and teaching. It’s designed to be a safe atmosphere for you within a group setting to experience God’s healing power. This is a time of breaking strongholds, as well as physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual healing. We highly suggest that you complete Foundations 1 before attending the Freedom Conference. Freedom Conferences are offered once a year.

Personal Freedom Ministry

After completing the Freedom Conference, if you feel you need further ministry you can meet with a Personal Freedom Minister. You will meet individually with one or two members of the Freedom Team who have been trained to help connect you with God’s presence and voice. Because this is individual ministry, these sessions are uniquely targeted towards those things God is working on in your life.

Freedom Ministries is a discipleship process that will yield great benefits. You will learn how to grow in the freedom Christ has provided for you. We hope you take advantage of all that is offered here in Freedom Ministries.
